Tasting Notes

We are a vineyard that produces a small number of wines that are of a high quality. Please read the tasting notes on each of our wines, before making the decision to purchase. We welcome your visit to our vineyard to taste some of our wine at our Cellar door. We look forward to seeing you. Our cellar door is open from 12.00 - 5.00pm every weekend and on public and summer holidays. There is a fee of $2 for tasting.

The vineyard was established with a small planting in 1989. Since then, the area under vines has steadily increased to 4 acres. The vineyard is exclusively planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a variety of different clones. The first commercial Chardonnay was made in 1994 and Pinot Noir in 1997. The wines are made entirely from fruit grown on the vineyard.

Chardonnay

2015 Chardonnay $30
A pale gold colour with a melon and citrus nose and light oak characters. Good length on the palate with melon and nutty flavours and a clean citrus finish.


Pinot Noir

2015 Pinot Noir (Recently released) $20
The nose shows strong red cherry characters with some smokey oak. It has rich cherry flavours, an elegant structure and fine lingering tannins.

2015 Unlabelled Pinot Noir $10
This has a cherry nose with cherry and spice flavours and fine tannins.

2013 Reserve Pinot Noir $30
A bouquet of red berries, plums with some confectionery characters. Berry flavours with savoury and spice overtones. Elegant tannins in balance with the fruit flavours. Good mouthfeel and length, lingering on the palate.

2009 Reserve Pinot Noir $30
A bouquet of red berries and plums with a hint of chocolate and berry, savoury and spice flavours. Good oak tannins in balance with the fruit flavours. Good length and persistence on the palate.
