Closing Down Sale - Cellar Door Now Closed

After nearly 30 years, the Duke Vineyard in Red Hill South has ceased operations. While we have now closed the cellar door, we still have two wines available and are offering them for sale.

These are:

  1. 2015 Pinot Noir ($20 per bottle) This shows some cherry and plum characters with some smokey oak. It has good fruit flavours, an elegant structure with fine lingering tannins.
  2. 2015 Pinot Noir (cleanskin) ($10 per bottle) This wine is different clonal selection with more pronounced cherry characters and some spice. it also has a fine structure with a good tannin balance.

If you are interested in purchasing either of these wines, please contact us by email (, phone (59892407) or complete the order form on this website. If you are local, we can arrange free delivery. Other deliveries will be via Australia Post.

Payments can be made either by credit card or direct debit. We can arrange this when we confirm your order.

This has been an exciting part of our life for some time and we are glad that you have been part of it. We are grateful for your support.

The vineyard and cellar door will reopen later in the year under new owners.

Best Wishes
Sue and Geoff Duke
The Duke Vineyard

The Duke Vineyard was established with a small planting in 1989. Since then, the area under vines has steadily increased to 4 acres. The vineyard is exclusively planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a variety of different clones. The first commercial Chardonnay was made in 1994 and the first Pinot Noir in 1997. The wines are made entirely from fruit grown on the vineyard.

Winemaker: Geoff Duke

Our cellar door is open every weekend plus public holidays and during January from 12.00 till 5.00pm. Visitors are most welcome to visit us then. We are about a 1 hour drive south-east of Melbourne.
